What is SuperVOOC fast charging, and how fast is it?
In This Article
If you’ve purchased a OnePlus or Oppo phone in recent years, you’ve likely heard of SuperVOOC fast charging.
Most smartphones have some sort of fast charging feature these days, but how does SuperVOOC fast charging differ from the competition?
We’ve created this guide to answer that question and more, so keep on reading for everything you need to know about SuperVOOC.
What is SuperVOOC?
SuperVOOC (Voltage Open Loop Multi-step Constant-Current Charging)is fast charging technology that was created by Oppo. It’s available on Oppo phones, as well as handsets from OnePlus and RealMe.
You will need to use a proprietary cable and adapter in order to benefit from the faster speeds, so you won’t be able to use any old charger from another device without seeing significantly slower charging.
This differs from other fast charging technology, as Oppo decided to increase the charging current instead of the voltage in order to achieve faster charging speeds.
How fast is SuperVOOC?
SuperVOOC is an umbrella term for the specific charging technology, and this system covers a number of different charging speeds. The very fastest that we’ve seen so far is the incredible 240W SuperVOOC Flash Charge:

However, that’s not the typical standard of SuperVOOC phones, which varies considerably. For example, theOppo Reno 8 Prohas 80W fast charging, theOnePlus 11has 100W fast charging, and theOnePlus Nord CE 2 5Ghas 67W fast charging.
Evidently, while they use the same charging systems, different phones can support different maximum charging speeds.
