When is Prime Day 2024?

After plenty of rumours circulating the internet, Amazon finally put it all to rest by announcing that Prime Day 2024 will take place on Tuesday July 16th and Wednesday July 17th.

Just like in previous years, this mid-week sale will be a true 48-hour event so if you aren’t able to shop at the start of the sale, you’ll have plenty of time to catch up, particularly as we’ll be covering the best deals as they appear.

What deals are available now?

Even though the event itself is still a while off, Amazon has bestowed its customers with a few tasty deals ahead of time to get people excited. The most impressive of the bunch right now is thethree-month free trial being offered for Audible. If you struggle to find the time to read then Audible can be a huge help, letting you listen to the latest audiobooks as you commute, cook or head out for a lunch-time stroll.

On top of that, Amazon has discounted a ton of other products including big name tech items from the likes of Samsung, Ninja and Google, so it’s definitely worth checking outtoday’s dealsto see if any of them take your fancy.

What do we expect from Prime Day 2024?

The focus of Prime Day really does change from year to year. One iteration saw a handful of big discounts on games consoles while another chose to highlight Apple products. The only thing that you can count on from year to year are hefty price drop across Amazon’s own-brand products such as Echo speakers, Kindle e-readers and Fire TV sticks.

If we were lucky enough to pick which items go on sale this year, there are definitely a handful that come to mind. We’ve yet to see a big, jaw-dropping deal for the excellentSony WH-1000XM5headphones, which would be perfect for anyone heading on holiday and in desperate need of active noise cancellation for any impending flights. ThePixel Watch 2also feels perfectly primed for a Prime Day discount after the price has wobbled a fair bit since launch.

We’d also recommend keeping an eye onAmazon’s own-brand Fire TV sets. These televisions have had a few lightning deals attached in recent memory, and they could offer up a bargain opportunity to upgrade your home entertainment set-up on the cheap.
