Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16

TheLenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16is one of those laptops that can do it all, with a powerful enough performance to handle anything that you throw at it, be it endless spreadsheets, high-end gaming or editing a 4K video.
It also has a dazzlingly bright 16-inch Mini LED display, ensuring your on-screen creations look true to life, while movies and TV shows look breathtaking due to the supremely high contrast. We were also impressed with the 165Hz refresh rate during testing, allowing for buttery smooth motion in gaming and scrolling through newsfeeds.
There is a caveat here though, as the Yoga Pro 9i 16 is pretty heavy at 2.23Kg, which may rule out taking this laptop on daily commutes. Battery life only lasted six hours in our tests too, which may be a concern for some. But such drawbacks are understandable given you’re getting so much firepower from the Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU.
So if you want an ultra-powerful Lenovo laptop that can do it all, while looking great too, then look no further than the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet

TheLenovo Chromebook Duetoffers one of the most accessible and convenient computing experiences money can buy. We found it to be extremely portable, weighing in at just 450g, making it a great choice for those on the go. This is quite the versatile device too, given you can use it as either a touchscreen device or a more traditional laptop with the keyboard cover.
Its 10-inch touchscreen features some great colours, which we found to be great for day-to-day usage, whether you’re enjoying episodes of Rick and Morty or BoJack Horseman, or even some cloud gaming with the likes of The Witcher 3. It struggled a little with darker scenes during testing, but on the whole, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet’s display performed admirably.
The MediaTek Helio P60T octa-core processor, also served up a nippy performance for web browsing during our tests, even if its benchmark scores may not indicate otherwise. ChromeOS is a great operating system for those who need a system to do the basics well, and we found the Lenovo Chromebook Duet worked pretty well for just that.
In testing the Chromebook Duet for a day’s work, and in running our battery benchmark, we found its battery life to be stellar, with a total of 13 or so hours before it eventually conked out. This puts it in the upper frame of Chromebooks.
Make no bones about it, the Lenovo Chromebook Duet is a brilliant Chromebook, especially if you’re after the convenience of a touchscreen and a tablet-style arrangement. If you want a more traditional laptop-based Chromebook experience then we’d say to head for the likes of theAcer Chromebook 314which offers comparable performance in a laptop-style chassis.

Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook

Let’s be honest, most of the latest Windows laptops are far too expensive, and likely out of reach for the vast majority of people. That’s why a Chromebook in the classic clamshell form is a great alternative, and theLenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebookis a capable option.
The highlight of this laptop is the huge 16-inch 1200p display, which should prove really useful for productivity work, allowing you to open up multiple tabs at once. However, we did find the display to look a little washed out when watching films, lacking the vibrancy of more expensive alternatives.
Performance isn’t exactly blazing fast, but it’s perfectly nippy enough for day-to-day jobs. If you’re happy to stick to workloads such as browsing the web, checking emails and the like, then you shouldn’t have an issue here. The biggest issue with the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is that it’s significantly heavier than your average laptop – you’ll probably want to keep it on a desk rather than take it to and from the office.
There are a number of compromises to make when going for a Chromebook this ridiculously cheap, but the Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook still represents outstanding value if you’re prepared to stick to the basics.

Lenovo LOQ 15i

If you’re trying to find a reliable gaming laptop that won’t break the bank then theLenovo LOQ 15iis a fantastic option. The LOQ 15i can pass as a business laptop thanks to its subtle design and wedge-shaped profile, with the only giveaway being the customisable RGB lighting.
The low price of the LOQ 15i is reflected in the basic screen set-up; the 15.6-inchFull HD(1080p) display comes with a 144Hzrefresh rateand a maximum brightness of around 350nits. Content creators will want to look elsewhere due to the low colour accuracy scores – with our tests showingsRGBandDCI-P3hitting 61.6% and 43.9%, respectively – but that thankfully didn’t have too much of an impact when it came to video streaming.
The real star of the show here is the performance of the LOQ 15i; our model came with aRaptor LakeIntel Core i5-13500Hprocessoralongside anRTX 4060graphics cardand 16GB RAM. While it’s not capable of playing games likeCyberpunk 2077withray tracingenabled at 60fps, even withDLSS 3, it did manage to hit 67fps in Full HD, making it more than capable of runningtriple-Agames.
Moreover, toying around in Lenovo Vantage and enabling GPU overclocking brought a massive frame-rate boost – up to 20fps inRainbow Six Extractionand a good 10fps in Cyberpunk 2077 with the Ray Tracing Ultra preset. The fans do kick up and the machine does run hotter under these circumstances but overall, these are very impressive results for the price point.
For just £1249.99/$1327.99, the Lenovo LOQ 15i is a shockingly capable gaming laptop that’s arguably the ideal pick for budding gamers who don’t require all the bells and whistles that other devices come with. It’s definitely not a perfect machine, but it offers everything you’ll need for a smooth and immersive gaming experience on a budget.

Lenovo Legion Slim 7i 16

Lenovo isn’t just known for its office laptops, as it also offers a wide selection of gaming portables. TheLenovo Legion Slim 7i 16is our current favourite of the bunch, offering excellent firepower in an eye-catching chassis.
Our review model packed an Intel Core i9-13900H and Nvidia RTX 4070 combo, enabling a 60fps+ gaming performance at a Quad HD resolution. The 165Hz refresh rate also allows you to take advantage of the high performance with buttery smooth visuals.
We were impressed with the 16-inch screen in general, with a 3.2K resolution ensuring sharp and detailed imagery, and the IPS screen technology seeing incredibly accurate colours. Whether you’re gaming or editing video with this laptop, everything’s going to look great on this excellent display.
There aren’t many gaming laptops that hit such a perfect balance of sophisticated looks and incredible gaming power, yet the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i 16 nails the brief with aplomb.

Lenovo Yoga Book 9i

Looking for something a little more left-field? Then check out the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i, which has a jaw-dropping dual-screen design to give multitasking a big boost.
This Lenovo laptop has a second screen where the keyboard nearly resides, allowing you to vertically stack (or horizontally if you prefer) the two touchscreens like a multi-monitor setup. A bundled Bluetooth keyboard allows you to still type up essays, and can either be placed on a desk in front, or on top of the bottom screen to turn the device into a classic laptop.
This is no mere one-trick pony either, sporting dual OLED displays for punch picture quality, as well as an i7 Intel Core processor for a speedy productivity performance. Battery life is impressive too, lasting 12 hours and 45 minutes in our tests.
The Lenovo Yoga Book 9i is an usual laptop, so will only appeal to those who will benefit from the dual–screen design. But if you fancy the idea of a multi-monitor arrangement on the go, then the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i could be the perfect option for you.
